Effective Integrative Healthcare
Megan Jendrossek is recognized by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the Maryland Board of Nursing specializing in Adult Gerontology. Megan is very excited to start her NP career at Effective Integrative Healthcare (EIH) with an excellent team and bring her knowledge and skill to give the best patient care.
Megan was a high school All-American field hockey and lacrosse player which landed her a full-scholarship to play Division I lacrosse. As a young athlete, Megan knew she wanted to pursue a career helping people; she always had an interest in health and well-being especially in exercise/weight loss and nutrition. Megan pursued her goal as she graduated cum laude from Towson University with a dual BS in Exercise Science and Sports Management with a minor in Business Administration. Megan continued her education attending the University of Maryland School of Nursing where she graduated with her BS in Nursing in 2013.
Megan first served as a neurosurgery staff nurse and committee champion at the University of Maryland Medical Center, where she earned the honor as one of Baltimore Magazine’s Top 50 nurses in 2015. Megan continued to grow as a registered nurse and eventually became a nurse manager at a skilled nursing facility. While working full-time, Megan completed her master’s degree at Walden University in 2017 as an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner and graduated summa cum laude.
Megan continues to educate herself in nutrition and weight loss; a skill Megan believes will be highly beneficial to EIH patients. Through her experience, she has learned the value of proper nutrition for body functionality and disease prevention to include the benefits of chiropractic care, acupuncture, and massage. Megan plans to expand her knowledge in the integrative medicine field to help people heal.
Megan enjoys participating in strongman competitions as well as mentoring and coaching young athletes in sports. Megan is engaged to Derek Mable; a November 2018 wedding is planned. They enjoy their workouts together and their second love, a year-old French Bulldog named Chief.
