Dr. James graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed an anesthesiology residency at the University of Toledo Medical Center.  Dr. James directed the Anesthesiology residency program at Toledo Hospital from 1986 until 1990.  Long interested in the management of pain he first partnered to found Toledo Pain Services in 1992. Dr. James administrative experience includes service as Chairman of Anesthesia Services Network, Treasurer of Anesthesiology Consultants of Toledo, Treasurer and co- founder of Practice Management Resources as well as service on numerous hospital and community Boards.  Dr. James also served on the Board of Directors for DECA Manufacturing Corporation from which the name for DECA Health, Inc. was derived.  Dr. James brings 20 plus years of leadership, experience and expertise to DECA Health, Inc.
