Dr. Richard Kaye
Dr. Kaye grew up in North Dallas in the 1970’s and 1980’s, where he completed high school and then attended college at The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He earned his B.A. degree in philosophy with an emphasis on medical ethics, and returned to Dallas to volunteer in the Parkland Memorial Hospital Emergency Room. This experience in the Emergency Room was invaluable toward his eventual medical career, and he then advanced to an Emergency Room aide at Parkland.
Dr. Kaye then attended The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, completed an externship in Psychiatry during his first Summer, and graduated with his M.D degree in 1990. He married Athena, his wife of 24 years, the day after graduating from Medical School and had his first son, Harrison, in 1993.
He completed his Internship and Residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas in 1994, and had his second son, Wesley, in 1995.
Dr. Kaye joined a group and practiced Obstetrics & Gynecology in Manassas, Virginia. Like many Texans, Dr. Kaye moved back to Texas in 1999, worked briefly for a multi-specialty group at Medical City Dallas Hospital, and then opened his solo practice in 2000. His third son, Ross, was born in 2004.
Dr. Kaye practices at three hospitals. Texas Health Presbyterian Plano (where he had the privilege of serving as Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Chairman in 2003 and is the current Department Chairman for 2013 to 2015), Texas Health Center for Diagnostics and Surgery, and Baylor Medical Center at Frisco.
