A Better Life

I began my career studying Physics at the University of Alabama at Huntsville. Huntsville, Alabama is home to NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center, the heart of NASA’s engineering program. It has been involved in the engineering for such things as the Saturn rocket for all the Apollo moon missions and current NASA projects such as the 2024 return to the moon. After graduating with high honors, I pursued my graduate degree in Applied Mathematics at Oregon State University. I then worked for McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing) Space Division as a senior engineer and simultaneously, I obtained a second bachelor’s degree in Biology from The University of California, Irvine.

I have served over 18 years in the military on Active and Reserve duty. I was enlisted and later served as a commissioned officer in the Navy and then in the Army Medical Corps. I served on active duty during the Vietnam Era and then again for Desert Storm. After years of working with machines, I decided I wanted to work with people. I attended Baylor College of Medicine and graduated with honors with a Doctor of Medicine Degree(MD).

After completing my internship at Baylor College of Medicine, I did my residency training in anesthesiology at the University of California, Los Angeles. I practiced anesthesia in Las Vegas, Nevada for 13 years. I later studied pain management and became certified by the American Board of Pain Medicine. I have been practicing pain management since 2004. I believe in being honest with my patients andgiving them full access to information; I believe this is what sets me apart fromother doctors. With over three decades of practicing medicine, I have provided compassionate and unparalleled care to my patients, and I am proud of my commitment to diagnosing, treating, and resolving pain.

Over the years I have become frustrated by how limited standard medical therapy is in helping people in pain. I started to look for alternatives to traditional treatments. As I have aged, I have also realized how aging effects our well-being and pain, both physical and mental.  I have studied several nontraditional therapies, such as anti-aging and regenerative medicine treatments, including the use of Bio-identical Hormones.

The decline in Hormonal levels as we age has a significant impact on both our physical and mental health and has a significant effect not only our pain, but also our enjoyment of life.

I am very proud to offer my patients Bio-Identical Hormone therapy from Hormone Therapy Center of America to improve their lives and well-being.

I met my wife, Ying, in Las Vegas. She was born in China, and worked as a nurse there for many years. She helps me in the office and serves as a translator for our Mandarin-speaking patients. She works with the Chinese community in Las Vegas. She arranges all of our educational trips to China and is involved with helping people who are referred to us from China for Bio-Identical Hormone and regenerative medicine treatments.
